Champlain Valley Union High School is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, flexible person to provide administrative and clerical support to the CVU Director of Special Services and their department. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintaining accurate special education and financial records for the department Assisting in the preparation of the annual department budgetCreating and filing accurate financial reports quarterly to the Vermont Agency of Education Coordinating transportation needs, and staffing for supported bus runsAssisting with scheduling for students and the departmentCollaborating with the information technology department and assisting in the management of school-purchased technologyOrganizing testing accommodations for state-wide assessmentsAssisting in daily departmental operations, including: answering phones, assisting in the management of the Directors calendar and scheduling, accounts payable, human resources/payroll, prepare/edit correspondence, coordinate meetings, maintain confidential files, and respond to additional inquiries from the staff, faculty, and general public.The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, able to organize and prioritize workload, 3-5 years financial record keeping experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerSchoolSIS, DocuSped, Google Apps, and broad knowledge of administrative and clerical practices and procedures are essential.CVSD is committed to ensuring that all of our students achieve our mission - which means we are also committed to developing a faculty and staff that represents the inclusive, welcoming environment we seek to develop for students and families.
