Preferred Qualifications: Experience with contract management functions, including an understanding contract budgets workplans and construction of contract packages; Ability to work in an environment with multiple/rapidly changing and sometimes conflicting priorities; Experience using the Statewide Financial System and/or the Grants Gateway to process claims for payment or facilitate contract administration including report generation and interpretation; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel); Experience with SharePoint &/or Microsoft Teams; Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on attention to detail; Ability to work independently as well as with diverse groups of individuals and offices.
The Health Program Administrator will be responsible for assisting with and coordinating a multitude of administrative functions within the Center for Community Health (CCH) Resource Management Unit (RMU). Functions include, but are not limited to: management and administration of contracts supporting public health initiatives and Legislative Member Items assigned to CCH; support personnel administration activities; working with appropriate DOH administrative offices to resolve fiscal, administrative, and contractual issues; processing contract claims for payment in the Statewide Financial System (SFS); assisting with and assessing vendor responsibility determinations for CCH contractors; procuring goods and services following applicable policies and procedures for CCH; review and generation of CCH B1184s; reviewing contracts from program areas, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures; updating and maintaining procedural job aids for various administrative functions; other duties as assigned.
Permanent, competitive full-time. Two year traineeship leading to a G18. Transfer candidates may be asked for SSN to verify title history and eligibility. Occasional travel, including overnights and travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation, may be required (5%).
