Division Overview


Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries

Position Overview




Operate assembly and testing equipment in a method to produce quality parts in accordance with manufacturing procedures, drawings and bill of materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Duties and Responsibilities




  • Operate assembly/testing machine processes in a method to produce quality parts in accordance to customer specifications using the Hubbell Power Systems Quality Operating Principles and the most current Quality System.

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures

  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

  • Assure that all products meet the highest standards of quality

  • Follow all Safety rules and ISO requirements

  • Keep a safe, clean, and well-maintained workspace

  • Desire to cross train/learn multiple job positions







Skills and Experience




  • Ability to assemble products within a 20 second cycle time

  • Must have excellent hand to eye coordination

  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. frequently

  • Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to work 10-hour shifts

  • Must be able to work well with others and function very well in a fast-paced team environment

  • Be punctual, reliable and have a good work ethic

  • Read, use, and understand measuring devices

  • Must have basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills

  • Must have good communication skills

  • Must be goal oriented

  • Ability to follow direction from the leadership team

  • 1-5 years prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred
