GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

As the Trader for Murphy USA, you are responsible for physical trading activities associated with the refined fuels market. The role requires an ability to understand new opportunities and to evaluate their relevance to the Company's value proposition, develop and leverage those new opportunities within the refined products markets. You will specialize in multiple commodity markets with responsibility for profit and loss. You are also responsible for business growth in both volume and margins and requires a working knowledge of the petroleum supply chain.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Executes trades to balance and protect physical inventory requirements.



2. Prepare P & L reports and enter executed deals into Right Angle.



3. Study, develop, optimize, and document new methods and systems for procuring physical products.



4. Report industry trends and analysis to Product Supply team.



5. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
