Description: The Production Supervisor located in Michigan City, IN reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for supervising the production of finished goods, sub-assemblies and components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the plant manager to make changes that improve quality and reduce warranty returns.
- Analyze schedules to determine labor requirements to achieve 100% on time delivery.
- Maintains employee records.
- Administer payroll.
- Administer disciplinary measures as required with approval of the plant manager.
- Maintain an effective dialogue with all employees to foster good employee morale and to handle employee complaints.
- Maintain a safe workplace.
- Evaluate conditions where cost reductions may be realized and make recommendations where appropriate. May also make recommendations for capital equipment expenditures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
- Maintain On Time Index of 95.0%
- Achieve 0.13% average return performance and RMA eval complete in 4 days
- Reduce the number of late IP’s
- Achieve line efficiency of 63% or above
- Operate at/below budget
. Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of products manufactured at assigned plants and of assembly methods and manufacturing processes.
- Must be capable of maintaining productivity and quality levels as required.
- Require the ability to plan and achieve production schedules via effective supervision of the employees while operating under limited supervision.
