Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Account Auditor - PFS is responsible for investigating, auditing, and resolving all charges, credits, and/or overpayments on assigned accounts. The Account Auditor - PFS addresses and resolves inquiries and/or problems related to billing concerns from customers, clinic staff, employers, insurance companies; government agencies, and outside health care providers, documenting all contacts and actions appropriately. A high degree of professionalism and accuracy regarding written and verbal communication between internal and external customers is expected
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High school graduate or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of diagnosis and CPT coding and medical terminology classes as soon as can be scheduled internally, usually within one year
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Two years’ experience in medical business office, health care setting or comparable experience required

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
