Forklift Driver – Material Handler


Responsibilities for Forklift Driver – Material Handler


  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently

  • Operate tow motor

  • Unload steel trucks and place steel in designated areas

  • Load steel coils onto equipment de-reelers

  • Move finished product to inventory or shipping area

  • Empty scrap hoppers

  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure efficient production and deadlines are met

  • Assist in lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads as required

  • Work with others to meet production needs and improve operations



Qualifications


  • Forklift /Tow Motor experience preferred

  • Mechanical skills

  • Computer skills

  • Math skills

  • Sharp attention to detail

  • Self-driven and hard worker

  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
