Knife River is looking for a motivated and experienced Contract Administrator/Accounting person for our staff in the Billings Division

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. Prepare and administer all documents related to new contracts including ordering bonds, insurance, etc

2. Create billing invoices for work performed

3. Review and process certified payrolls

4. Prepare subcontracts, verify proper supporting documentation including bonds and insurance, and

prepare subcontractor payments per approval by the project manager

5. Provide backup support for accounting duties that will include payroll entries and maintenance, material

ticket editing, and A/R customer support including processing customer payments and providing

invoice and ticket copies as needed

6. Provide support with answering incoming phone calls and assisting people at the front desk as needed

7. Support management and other staff with requests as needed






Minimum Qualifications:






. Must have experience using Microsoft Office-fluency in Excel, Adobe, Docusign and Word preferred

. Data entry skills and ability to proofread entries and make corrections as needed

. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and face daily changing job duties

a must

. Must have troubleshooting and problem solving skills and ability to organize and prioritize duties as

needed. This position will require a person to be a self-starter and work with minimal direction after

training

. Effective communication skills such as verbal, written, and listening a must

. Ability to work with people under high stress and changing situations and must be able to have flexibility in

daily job duties

. Must be a dependable, self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills, ability to maintain

positive co-worker and customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others
