Job Description




As a Registered Behavior Technician with The Menta Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school




Responsibilities




    • Provide behavioral and emotional support within a classroom environment
    • Coach students on appropriate actions/behaviors
    • Focus on life-skills
    • Advise Administrators and appropriate staff of any behavioral concerns of students Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
    • Maintain classroom order, safety, and wellness
    • Respond swiftly, tactfully, and appropriately to behavioral crises






Qualifications




    • Must be a Board Certified Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB
    • Experience in a therapeutic school or residential setting is helpful
    • Able to work with high-risk special needs students
    • Ability to respond quickly and tactfully under stress
    • Flexibility to change in routines
    • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

At Southwest Education Center - Casa Grande (SWEC-CG) we provide for the academic and social emotional needs of high-risk children and adolescents, ages 5 through 22. We partner with over 10 surrounding districts and charter schools. SWEC-CG incorporates PBIS, trauma informed and mindfulness practices into our daily programming. We offer Cross Categorical Classrooms (ED, LD, OHI, TBI, ED-P) and Life Skills Classrooms (MIID, MOID, Autism) as well as 45-day placements
