Pay Range (
Permanent positions): State Teacher Salary + [8.5% - 16% local supplement]
Position Purpose: The major functions of this job description incorporate the North Carolina State Board of Education guiding mission that every public school student will graduate from high school globally competitive for work and post-secondary education and prepared for life in the twenty-first century
Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred. For an MSW or BSW degree, the candidate must have or be willing to obtain a DPI Social Work license (which includes additional coursework).
Alternative Licensed Pathways: If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License. Qualifications:

- 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
- 2.7 GPA (undergraduate coursework or post-graduate coursework)
- Ability to produce an official, degree dated transcript from an accredited university
- Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply
