Americas Fulfillment Center Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with various transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of outbound shipments daily, weekly, and monthly as needed. This position will also be responsible for coordinating maintenance service and repairs for all equipment within the AFC.




Responsibilities:

Coordinates with small parcel, trucking, and other transportation providers to schedule shipment pick-up and movement of goods



Build packaging for shipment using assigned methods, boxes and or pallets according to customer requirements, understanding of routing guides and importance of periodic updates



Ensures all packages meet warehouse standards after packing; no visible damage, boxes securely closed, address labels affixed and not obstructed



Make special shipping arrangements as necessary



Track and fix sipping errors



Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most safe and efficient manner; oversees maintenance, service, and repairs of all equipment in the AFC



Other continuous improvement activities as necessary



Operates computer and scanners using customer database



Ensure packaged orders are placed in correct area for outbound shipment processing



Maintain organization and cleanliness in designated work area



Follows all safety protocols




Qualifications:

Solid understanding of transportation/trucking operations



Excellent MS Excel skills

Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment

Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Position requires standing for an 8-hour or longer shift



Flexibility to work overtime



Excellent attention to detail



Ability to follow verbal and written instruction



Strong communication skills

Must work effectively with team members
