This position will be certified as a Level II in magnetic particle inspection and liquid penetrant inspection. This position will perform non-destructive testing on assigned parts and/or materials in all areas of the shop and complete the required documentation reports. Also performs hardness testing using the Brinell and Rockwell C testers. This position is also responsible for performing the daily, weekly and monthly inspections on the non-destructive equipment and recording the results.






Job description:


  • Performs Level II non-destructive testing on assigned parts and/or materials.

  • Performs required hardness testing.

  • Sets up Technique Sheets.

  • Verifies calibration of inspection tools prior to beginning assignment.

  • Inspects product in accordance with the requirements of the part report.

  • Responsible for problem solving and working with Sourcing, Engineering and suppliers on inspection issues.

  • Records inspection results and completes NDE reports and related documentation or data entry in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Reports and documents nonconforming product on a Quality Notification within SAP.

  • Completes SAP transactions for inventory and location moves.

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in quality or a manufacturing environment.

  • Must obtain a knowledge of all quality systems and safety procedures for assigned area.

  • Ability to interpret and apply Engineering standards and part reports.

  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment.

  • Must be competent in making transactions in the SAP business system.

  • Must have a Level I/II certification in at least one NDE process.

  • Must achieve Level I/II certification in at least two NDE process
