OMF is seeking a strategic thinking, highly motivated and experienced Director, Portfolio Management. This individual will have responsibility for the cross-functional identification, planning and execution of OMF’s objectives and key results, including: (1) Definition and scoping of the cross functional operational strategy, (2) Management of performance, budget, quality, risk assessment and mitigation, and (3) seamless implementation through effective change management. The Program Management Director provides an independent to shape the overall program strategy and drive optimal decisions for the broader portfolio value. He/she will report to the SMD, Head of Transformation & Portfolio Management.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Part of core team to identify and define objectives and key results for One Main to achieve its goals.

  • Create resource and budget plans against objectives and key results to ensure success or identify any gaps.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators and key risk indicators to ensure delivery of portfolio

  • Drive execution and delivery of large-scale strategic initiatives, complex business and technology solutions in an organization undergoing significant transformation.

  • Manage the implementation and completion of defined plans through effectively coordinating people and resources

  • Identify opportunities to improve performance of strategic portfolio

  • Create effective remediation plans to address any risk identified

  • Ability to translate milestones and deliverables into quantifiable/qualifiable business impact

  • Define operating parameters and controls

  • Define and manage cross-program interdependencies, and drive decision-making

  • Identify and apply change management approach for respective projects/programs and ensure changes are adopted and successfully implemented to achieve sustained benefits

  • Manage program budget through tracking and reporting the monthly budget accruals and variances as well as resource capacity and availability

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of systems, data, analysis and team feedback and make appropriate changes in order to meet business needs

  • Manage, coach, develop and train project managers and business analysts, allocate work considering complexity and experience level, conduct performance reviews, and provide real-time feedback and coaching

Experience and Qualifications:

In order to be successful in this role, the Program Management Director will excel at influencing without authority, dealing with ambiguity, capable of operating at all levels, and are able to understand technical details quickly. He/she will possess a strong attention to detail, a reputation as someone who focuses on the customer, brings simplified solutions to complex problems in a technical environment, and does what they say they will do. The Director must be comfortable operating in a fluid, agile, and team-oriented environment; bringing order to chaos. Key skills are as follows:

  • Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), PPM, Confluence and Jira


  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, Credit/Pricing, Operations or related areas. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in mid-to-large project or program management

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a team


  • PMP certification required

  • Change management certification
