The Director of Insurance uses financial planning concepts to provide risk management or insurance solutions for clients in collaboration with Advisors

Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing, implementing, and monitoring insurance strategies for clients as part of their comprehensive financial plan

Preparing quotes, analyses, research, financial reports, and presentations for clients implementing various insurance or risk management objectives

Provide consultations to discuss or review client insurance accounts with Advisors and their clients

LMA – Lead, Manage and hold Accountable an effective insurance structure. Formally guide, mentor and coach the team in both technical and professional shills

Establish strong working relationships with internal and external firm partners

Maintain or establish Insurance Company appointments and complete required continue education requirements

Create and conduct presentations and workshops for advisors, clients, or others

Actively participates in continuous improvement by fully engaging in team meetings, generating suggestions, following appropriate procedures and work principles, participating in problem solving activities, and using continuous improvement tools to support the work of the team

Work with the Financial Services Team and staff on various projects as needed


Strong Communication skills, self-motivated, and team oriented

Willingness to learn and expand responsibility

Ethical with regulatory respect

Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters

Ability to "multi-task", manage several projects at one time

Expertise in insurance products: Life, Variable, EIA, Fixed, Long Term Care and Disability

Skills & Abilities:

Education: Bachelor's Degree at a four-year college, FINRA registered, Insurance License

CLU, CHFC, or CFP candidate or practitioner

Experience: At minimum of Five years of insurance or financial services experience preferred

Computer Skills: Extensive background in Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
