Job Description:


The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) works to make the power grid smarter by developing and deploying innovative information technology solutions to meet New York’s dynamic energy needs. The NYISO’s IT Operations team invites applications for a full-time PC Technician.


The PC Technician B will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of desktop computers, printers, and other equipment within NYISO offices and/or meeting facilities. This may also include setup and teardown of audio/visual equipment and other materials in NYISO conference rooms and other off-site locations. The PC Technician B will also be responsible for assisting in infrastructure wiring, including LAN, TSO, telephone and fiber optic when required; as well as completing preventative maintenance and other routine duties on various electronic equipment and computer facilities.





Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required
  • A strong working knowledge of computer hardware/software; good mathematical and analytical skills are required to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively
  • Must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license with no violations that would prevent driving on behalf of the company.

This position may require work on weekends, nights or an occasional holiday.
