Job Description

The Senior Accountant executes and supports the operational and financial accounting processes of the global business. The role will be responsible for a variety of end-to-end accounting processes. Duties include researching, interpreting, and documenting accounting guidance (i.e. US GAAP, IFRS) and practically applying methodology in the context of the business. This role requires excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.


  • Perform month-end close processes which may include creating journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and creating ad-hoc analyses for senior management

  • Research and interpret accounting guidance and develops processes in compliance with appropriate standards

  • Partners with various teams and supports departments, at all levels of the organization, to define and implement accounting processes to support the global business

  • Prepare various financial, regulatory, and compliance reports

  • Perform due diligence and provide insight to support business arrangements or new product implementations

  • Manage various projects as needed with the ability to manage vertically and across functions within the organization

  • Author process narratives or accounting memorandums as needed

  • Execute, review, and implement controls to mitigate risk and to be in compliance with regulations, including SOX

  • Provide support or demonstrations for external and internal audit inquiries.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, focusing on creating efficient & scalable processes to foster growth

  • Regular attendance at the work place in a traditional office environment may be required

  • Performs other related duties as required or requested


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience

  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), IFRS a plus

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel & Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance related field, CPA is a plus

  • Experience with Workday accounting software, IBM Cognos TM1 a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal skills – ability to demonstrate concepts in both memorandums and business forum settings

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work independently or within a team, and communicate with all levels of the organization
