ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


Position Summary

Works with the local staff to support the maintenance programs and processes across manufacturing operations to minimize impact on production. Responsible for the rollout, administration, compliance, and technical support of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Essential to this Position

Coordinate contracted plastic injection molding with outside vendors, including product quoting, asset transfer between plants and outside vendors, freight routing, vendor expediting, customer service interfacing, plus scheduling maintenance and mold repairs in compliance with ORBIS standards.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Organize and analyze outside vendor quotes bidding on new product production opportunity requests.
  • Initiate, review, and process purchase requisitions and other required documentation.
  • Maintain and provide technical support for the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of EAM (Enterprise Asset Management).
  • Provide customer support to external vendors.
  • Coordinate material and equipment moves.
  • Coordinate technical resources to obtain peak performance from ORBIS molds operating at contract molding sites.
  • Maintain Mold Press Matrix for vendor press and mold capabilities and competencies.

  • Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including maintenance and storage
  • Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements, and management of a manufacturing facility
