OCCU is looking for an experienced Business Process Analyst to join our growing and high performing team! The Business Process Analyst partners with business unit owners to break down processes into specific steps helping the company to understand strategic process alignment. They provide guidance and consulting to business process owners and project teams in the disciplines of business process management, process improvement methodologies, change management and knowledge management. The Business Process Analyst focuses on understanding the strategic vision and shifting one-time process improvement endeavors into meaningful organizational change. They independently demonstrate strong facilitation and communication skills to liaison and influence stakeholders to achieve the stated outcomes of a task, project or process. They have a demonstrated ability to navigate conflict and a high degree of decision-making capability and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:


The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job-related tasks to be completed when time permits.   • Train and lead others in developing and deploying process improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Serve as an internal consultant for business unit owners and project teams to coach and provide direction to achieve desired business results by leading discovery sessions, planning meetings and training sessions.
  • Identify, evaluate and define scope of proposed solutions to business problems and improvement efforts.
  • Act as a change agent/coach to instill and sustain changes
  • Provide knowledge assets governance ensuring quality, stable content is available in the knowledge asset repository (ASK site)
  • Ensure knowledge asset documentation standards are employed and audited.
  • Troubleshoot situations, identify root cause and guide stakeholders to consensus solutions
  • Routinely exercise independent judgment to provide highly innovative solutions by developing methods, techniques and criteria to achieve objectives
  • Create comprehensive reports using data obtained from stakeholders and provide preliminary analysis to management team.
  • Share and communicate ideas and processes in verbal and written form to executive staff, business units and staff in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrate skill in conducting presentations, facilitating meetings and public speaking. Utilize professional business writing and reporting skills.
  • Exhibit high levels of organization and detail orientation. Organize workload to ensure priority responsibilities are completed as scheduled and in a timely manner.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and independence in daily work.
  • Adept at conducting research and analysis.
  • Develop and implement credit union initiatives.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Qualified candidates for this position will have relevant education and experience necessary to perform the essential functions and meet the minimum performance expectations for this position with or without an accommodation

Preferred qualifications for the position include:


  • One to three years of similar or related experience working in process improvement, preferably in a credit union or similar financial institution environment.
  • Experience in building processes, procedures and/or project management work.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite required and process mapping software preferred.

Education:


Bachelor’s degree or knowledge consistent with a degree in a related business field

Process Improvement Certification preferred (e.g. LEAN, Kaizen, Sigma Six, etc.)

An equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position will be considered in lieu of the outlined requirements.

Work Environment: Office-related work is primarily conducted in a temperature-controlled office environment. Our office spaces include traditional office lighting (including fluorescent lighting), as well as shared office spaces and facilities that result in consistent and frequent noise (moderate and often louder than ambient noise), conversations among employees and/or members, interruptions and other similar distractions.


Work Hours: This job can typically be done within a Monday through Friday schedule; however, based on events going on there will be times when evening and weekend work is required with little or no notice. Off-hour telephone support is required.
