About the role
The Director of Capacity Planning will drive and lead the overall strategy and tactical direction for capacity planning in all of our Distribution Centers, while ensuring that service, cost and network metrics are met. This role is a newly created strategic role requiring a mix of analysis, logistics, change management, cross-functional leadership and project management. The Director will provide guidance to drive and impact overall performance of company systems to support short- and long-term growth
What you'll do
Provides strategic direction to Distribution Centers across the network to ensure effective capacity planning will achieve desired business results.
Effectively analyzes data through reporting and insights that will impact changing business needs to support growth and transformation across the network.
Drives accountability and creates best practices to optimize operational performance.
Works closely with cross functional teams and campus leaders to ensure capacity metrics are met through effective analysis and reporting that will optimize DC performance.
Keeps current on industry trends, information and technology to increase innovation and make appropriate recommendations to drive the business forward.
Implements strategic initiatives that focus on meeting changing business needs
Exhibits critical thinking skills to effectively problem solve capacity challenges based on growth.
Who you are
Minimum 10+ years experience required; Distribution management preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required..
Knowledge of distribution operating systems, logistics and forecasting
Analytic Skills: Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.
Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in capacity metrics.
Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions, an aptitude for critical thinking.
Strong knowledge of Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships and influence cross-functional leaders across the organization.
