Position Summary:

The Research Associate for Conjugation will contribute to a team of scientists working to fulfill conjugation orders for external and internal customers. This fast paced, high-volume team is seeking an talented RA to meet ambitious goals. This individual will work on a highly collaborative team to develop new products and new product types and perform custom services. They will also focus on optimizing protocols and improving processes, to maximize efficiency
  • Perform research and development experiments for projects and products, in collaboration with others within the group
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and complete product development laboratory documentation, including notebooks, electronic records and databases, and adhere to standard operating procedures, and lab operations and safety, in accordance with quality management systems
  • Develop and validate high-quality conjugated products
  • Expected to understand the rationale behind experiment performed, be able to interpret results, draw conclusions and suggest future experiments
  • Execute on the following procedures:
    • Conjugating dyes, small molecules, enzymes and DNA to antibodies
    • Perform multiple forms of chromatographic purification
    • Test conjugates by a variety of applications such as Western Blot and other gels

  • Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology or a related discipline
  • Up to 2 years of hands-on, relevant laboratory experience
  • Chromatography and protein sample handling and processing

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Some knowledge and hands-on experience of Biochemistry: bioconjugation chemistry and size exclusion chromatography and Nanodrop
  • Good communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Able to adhere to deadline and prioritize their work accordingly
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
