MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN GROUNDSKEEPER
Compensation: $27,769.36 - $39,606.91
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Under the direction of the Property Manager and through the advice of the Lead Maintenance the Maintenance Technician is responsible for working with a team, including Office Assistant, Lead Maintenance Technician and others to develop maintenance plan to meet goals established for the Public Housing properties. Maintenance plan includes completing work orders, maintaining inventory levels, performing routine preventive electrical and plumbing maintenance, including all other maintenance and minor repair work, and ensure property readiness for move-ins.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager the (fee-for-services) Groundskeeper is responsible for working with a team, including Office Assistant and others to develop maintenance plan to meet goals established for the Public Housing properties. Maintenance plan includes completing work orders, maintaining inventory levels, performing routine maintenance, including minor repair work, and ensure interior and exterior property readiness for move-ins.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in residential building maintenance or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience directly related.
- Construction experience in rehab, new construction, remodel, residential
- Certificate in maintenance trades
- State license to apply pesticides
- In lieu of a High School Diploma or GED, minimum of at least five (5) years of experience in residential building maintenance or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience directly related
Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures and technical manuals. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, contractors, supervisors, co- workers, residents, and city/county agencies.
Driving and reliable transportation are requirements of this position.
