  • This is a full-time salaried position. Location can be anywhere in USA. Must be willing to travel to Guardian Locations in NJ, NY, PA, CT, or WI.
  • Guardian is seeking a seasoned coach to drive business agility and transformation across our enterprise by being:
  • An Instructor
  • A Mentor
  • A Consultant & Facilitator
  • This individual will provide best-in-class methodology coaching in a sustainable way to support enterprise transformation, grow talent and maximize return on strategic investments.
  • he Delivery Coach serves as a subject matter expert and team coach of agile development and project management methodologies (Scaled Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Six Sigma, Waterfall, etc.) Embraces servant leadership and displays behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being agile. This person will also be responsible for collaborating to develop changes to the new ways of working in order to improve delivery of business objectives.



We trust you to:
  • Be an expert professional coach, facilitator, mentor, instructor, and consultant
  • Assess, plan, and drive the Agile approach, principles, and practices during a transformation
  • Provide hands-on coaching/mentoring to Agile Release Train Engineers, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and teams on all aspects of Scrum, Lean and Kanban practices
  • Display a solid understanding of agile values and principles and different frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, etc.) that help achieve agility
  • Understand when to apply specific practices to solve problems identified in the team or at scale
  • Evaluate the maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and appropriate for the team and organization
  • Instruct, coach and mentor organizations on agile frameworks, lean six sigma concepts, project management and other methodologies
  • Guide and drive executives, managers, teams to implement appropriate delivery method to achieve maximum business value
  • Coach organizational leaders and key stakeholders in Lean Agile practices and mindsets
  • Proactively collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to address knowledge gaps to support effectiveness
  • Identify other areas of expertise that need to be brought in to accomplish the client’s objective
  • Work to help all levels of the organization understand the benefits of working agile.
  • Review current processes, drive process improvements and challenge teams to be innovative
  • Promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement and be a champion of change
  • Lead formal and in-formal training/workshops (e.g., Scaled Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Remain informed about industry trends and best practices concerning agile development and project management methodologies and advance those best practices in the organization


You are:
  • Well versed in the Scaled Agile Framework and Agile principles, with proven leadership of agile teams
  • Well versed in Lean Six Sigma values, with ability to coach team members on concepts and tools
  • A true servant leader and recognize that success will come from the success of team members
  • Experienced in coaching and developing people and teams
  • Adept at influencing behavior change towards new ways of working and continuous improvement

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience coaching various frameworks (e.g., Scaled Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and Lean Six Sigma principles, from mindset and values (culture) to practices and tools (execution)
  • Professional Business-related experience
  • Experience working with enterprise PMOs to blend Waterfall, Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies
  • Certified in one or more of the following: CSM, PMI-ACP, SPC, ICP-ACC, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt (Blackbelt a plus), PMP etc.
  • Familiar with project management support tools like Microsoft Project, Rally, JIRA, TFS, Lean-Kit, etc.
  • Proven experience in facilitation, guiding groups through processes that help them come to solutions and make decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate with other coaches and trainers
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Basic knowledge and/or experience with agile engineering practices and techniques such as User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, Agile Games



Location:
  • Up to 15% travel within US to tri-state offices as required (Holmdel, NJ; New York, NY; Bethlehem, PA)
