Our Operations organization is seeking a strategic Multifunctional Manufacturing Director for MMC (Mechanical Manufacturing Center) and RAC (Radio and Antenna Center) located on the Denver Waterton campus. Responsible for meeting integrated master schedules and budgets with the coordination of manufacturing personnel within the organization to ensure adherence to key program landmarks and deliverables

In this dynamic role, your areas of responsibility, accountability, and authority will include:

  • All production and facility operations within MMC Denver, and RAC to implement the assembly, integration, test and delivery to Government, Civil and Commercial customers
  • Lead an organization 200+ Technician and Support Staff
  • Serving as Production interface for all Space line of businesses (LOBs)

Duties include but aren’t limited to:

  • Drive and champion continuous improvement efforts for Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost and producibility needs of the centers.
  • Establish and perform to program budgets and schedules for all product delivery systems as well as overhead budgets for the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of facilities and assets.
  • Direct daily operations at the facilities and establishes long term plans in support of business unit strategic objectives
  • Prepare for and represent RAC and MMC Denver at all Customer, Congressional, and Senior Management briefings, presentations, and tours
  • Retention, placement and tasking of the Supervision and Non-exempt labor force to support Manufacturing Center/ LOB (Line of Business)/COEs (Centers of Excellence).
  • Manage staffing requirements, planning job assignments and rotations, manage staff assessment and development, sustaining producibility capabilities and preservation of critical skills.
  • Manage cost on the monthly basis and establish corrective action plans for all variance to EAC growth.
  • Determine when to effectively introduce producibility and product/process improvements, Lean and 6-sigma implementation to improve the efficiency of the operation.
  • Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership Behaviors.
  • Chair status meetings with the intent of coordinating daily activities with support groups.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of meeting program schedules and efficiently managing deployment of assets and critical path management.
  • Five to eight years of Leadership, Program/Project management experience in aerospace production line manufacturing techniques or equivalent production experience.
  • Experience in Production flows/metrics and working with Non-exempt and Exempt salaried labor force concerns.
  • Demonstrated successful Leadership experience with a diverse workforce of exempt salary and touch labor.
  • Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing concepts, systems and methods.
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain & maintain Top-Secret clearance.
