The GES Network Coordinator is responsible for the creation of the daily optimization solutions for the GES Transportation Network. Using Transportation optimization technology (JDA’s Transportation Management System), this role owns the planning and execution of the GES Network Optimization business process from origination of orders through final tender of loads and trips. Work with the GES Recovery team to resolve daily optimization issues. Work closely with Traffic team and CSRs on optimal routing solutions. The expectation is that the candidate that fills this role must remain in position for a minimum of 18 months.

  • Execute the daily GES optimization processes for Irving and Dallas traffic centers, including running optimization, assigning drivers, and updating needed documentation.

  • Perform system maintenance needed to execute optimization.

  • Provide off hour emergency support.

  • Drive solution quality through systematic settings, process improvement and cross functional support.

  • Collaborate with peers to balance daily workloads and support business fluctuations as needed.

  • Produce and continually refine various performance reports to drive results in service and productivity.

  • Complete weekly activities for revenue reporting.

  • Assist in areas outside of daily scope as needed

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Understanding of GES Warehouse and Traffic operations

  • Strong understanding of transportation industry

  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing systems, learning new functionality, and refining technology

  • Demonstrated capabilities in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel

  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to formulate effective action plans for proactive issue resolution

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact, both through written and verbal communication with a wide variety of audiences in a professional tone

  • Must have a team/collaborative-based approach to decision making

  • Must be organized and able to multitask through many channels of communication

  • Ability to adapt to business and structure changes

  • Ability to work an extended schedule with potential on-call responsibility

Sunday to Thursday 12pm to 9:00pm with available OT on Saturday.
