Job Purpose: The Behavioral Health Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing guidance and monitoring of behavioral health programs funded by federal, state, and private funds to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and requirements to meet contracted outcomes. This position ensures program staff accomplishes their program initiatives and meets reporting requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date databases to track program outcomes

  • Monitor adherence to identified grant reporting timelines

  • Track compliance with outcome measures outlined in program contracts

  • Produce timely reports for grant and contract reporting and internal HJMC committees

  • Monitor program staff compliance with behavioral health policy and procedure

  • Conduct chart audits, as needed, to monitor quality of care for behavioral health

  • Help staff with credentialing and accreditation needs

  • Work collaboratively with behavioral health team members to meet program outcomes

  • Implement tools and practices that ensure seamless integration of primary and behavioral health care

  • Attend agency, community, and supervisory meetings as needed


  • Complies with all applicable training requirements
  • Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures
  • Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operation of agency programs
  • Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field and 1 years of relevant experience; or
  • Previous experience working in a team environment
