Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Full Time Medical/Radiology Scheduler to join our team.
Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling experience preferred.
In this detail-oriented and patient-focused position, you will be responsible for...
Answering telephone calls in a fast paced call center
Accurate scheduling of multi-modality radiology studies
Entering/confirming patient demographics and insurance information in the patient medical record
Working as part of a team, to assist radiologists, technologists, co-workers, patients, referring physician offices as needed
Delivering exceptional customer service/customer care
Responding to requests for information
Confirming of appointments/preparations
Adherence to safety protocols
High School degree or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of prior medical scheduling experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced, patient focused environment with heavy call volume
Commitment to quality patient care and exceptional customer service
Excellent communicator who can form and maintain effective working relationships with staff, radiologists, referring physicians and patients
Bi-lingual (English, Spanish) a plus

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, internet software, RIS, and PACS.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
