The Quality department is currently looking for a person who will be working with casting and machined parts. The applicant must be comfortable working with very tight tolerances and ensure final visual inspections of complicated mechanical parts. The applicant must like to work in this field since many of our parts go into some engineering marvels, technical improvements of existing and futuristic products. The applicant must be a team player with a lot of positive energy, likes to solve problems and can multitask.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect casting and machined parts using:

  • Conventional tool (caliper, height gage, test indicator, dial indicator, micrometer, depth micrometer, bore gauge, air gage etc.)
  • Manual Coordinate Measuring Machine – using IK 500 software
  • Run automatic CMM Machine – using PC-Dmis software Create new and improve existing:
  • Visual inspection instructions
  • Assembly work instructions
  • Visual masking inspection instructions
  • Machine CNC setup instructions Prepare a Cross-Reference for technical blueprints & specifications

Prepare setup for First Article Inspections – using DISCUS software (balloon software) Take care of tool Calibration/Verification – using GageTrack software

Required Skills: · A degree in technical School is preferred, or B.S. a plus

· At least 2+ years experience work in a foundry castings or/and machine shop quality department or with CNC machine (setup man or CNC machine programmer)

· The ability to read and understand mechanical blue prints

· Be a team worker and able to multitask

· Good verbal, written and communication skills

· Strong organizational and time management abilities

Required Software Skills:

· Proficient with Windows

· Proficient with (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Good fundamental knowledge SolidWorks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
