The New Orleans Jewish Community Center is seeking a Facilities Engineer to assist in the maintenance and repair of NOJCC buildings, grounds and facilities. Will also assists Facilities Director with and oversight of contractors, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, painters, and similar service providers when they are on JCC property to adequately maintain repair and perform renovations or upgrades to the buildings. This position requires the ability to be flexible and responsive to an evolving work environment and schedule. After hours or weekend calls should be expected.

To be successful you'll have a comprehensive knowledge of the terminology, tools and practices of carpentry trade and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related items and knowledge of OSHA standards and occupational hazards and safety precautions and procedures common to the skilled trades.

Minimum Qualifications:

To work with us, you will possess a City of New Orleans issued 2nd class air conditioning and boilers stationary engineer's certification for at least five (5) years. You will also have at least five (5) year's experience as a plant engineer, with EMS systems and field controls pertaining to the same and journey level experience in construction or building maintenance.
