To provide specialized knowledge in an area related to higher education. Reports to designated supervisor.

Special Assistant to support the Brain Health Research Institute


Examples of Duties:




Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:



Coordinate or assist in development and implementation of a program or project. May oversee day-to-day operations of a program or project.



Serve as liaison for area of specialization; answer questions and provide advice on issues related to area of specialization.



Assist in analyzing information, conducting research and developing and preparing reports related to area of specialization.



Serve on various department, division, and University committees.



May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.



Perform related duties as assigned.




Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:




JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:





  • Event support (e.g. BHRI Grand Opening, BHRI Speaker Series, Kisspeptin 2022 meeting, etc.) including scheduling, travel arrangements, reservations, day-of in-person support, ordering, etc.
  • General financial processes (budget tracking, independent contractor processing/payments, budget revisions, etc.)
  • Web support (social media, website, BHRI portal / membership maintenance, etc.)
  • General scheduling and organizing support for BHRI activities, for the BHRI Director, and for BHRI committees (including internal and external stakeholders)



Perform related duties as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications:




Bachelor’s degree and two years' relevant experience; or associate's degree and five years of business and/or academic experience; or seven years of business and/or academic experience.



License/Certification:

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:




Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.




Working Schedule:




PART-TIME, TEMPORARY- UP TO 28 HOURS PER WEEK FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 MONTHS
