About The Role

Enterprise Risk Management assists senior management and the board of directors in assessing, identifying, mitigating, and monitoring the corporation’s key risks as a means to protecting the long-term value of the company. The Risk Management Specialist will support the ERM team by providing coordination of a wide variety of risk management functions. Role requires a high level of organization skills as well as coordination/contact with employees at all levels of the bank and external stakeholders. This position will be of interest to anyone seeking a fast paced, broadly focused, and dynamic role in a growing bank.


  • Manage and facilitate all corporate insurance policies, including D&O, package, cyber, and bond. Responsibilities include agent coordination, completion of renewal applications, policy/limit decisioning, claims reporting, and division/department outreach.



  • Coordinate data and requested deliverables for regulatory bank exams. Work with all departments to gather, organize, and securely share requested information to examiners. Prepare examination response letters at the completion of bank exams.



  • Facilitate the regulatory/legal branch notification process for permanent and emergency branch closings and openings. This includes interpreting regulation, coordinating with divisions, preparing legal letters/announcements, and communicating with regulators.



  • Coordinate various committees, including preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes.



  • Track and monitor lawsuit and legal matters, ensuring communication between insurance companies and bank attorneys.



  • Coordinate various tracking/reporting processes, including project and facility proposals; regulatory findings and new regulations; incidents and fraud events; team and board training logs; and insurance claims and legal matters.



  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative reports for audiences of all levels.



  • Write and/or edit memos, policy statements, and procedures governing a variety of risk topics.


  • Facilitate team administrative functions including initiating team service desk requests, invoicing/reimbursements, and time-off approvals.



  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Travel


Up to 50% travel required: (e.g. 2 weeks or 10 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
