Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sykesville, Maryland is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst/Principal Manufacturing Analyst for multiple programs for our Manufacturing Shipping organization. This person will be responsible for planning for the shipping of multiple products to customers.Role, Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and control material through the Shipping Department to support both internal and external customer delivery
  • Coordinate with Shipping Manager and OPM's (Operation Project Managers) on schedules, goals, and customer required dates
  • Create blanket requisitions in SAP for shipping supplies
  • Create purchase requisitions in iBuy for items not planned by SAP
  • Negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery
  • Help submit documents in Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
  • Ensure documentation flow (including packaging instructions) is processed accurately, effectively, and efficiently
  • Coordinate with Packaging Engineers for special containers and packing requirements
  • Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership and the Operations, Facilities, and Global Supply Chain organizations

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience (or 1 year with a Master's degree), including related experience in Planning and/or Shipping/Logistics
  • Knowledge of SAP functions and MS Office applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance or higher

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Manufacturing Analyst:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience (or 4 years with a Master's degree), including related experience in Planning and/or Shipping/Logistics
  • Knowledge of SAP functions and MS Office applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including related experience in Shipping/Planning
  • Proficient with SAP functions and MS Office applications
  • Experience in processing HAZMAT material according to IATA/DOT regulations
  • Minimum of 2 years of actual shipping/logistics processing experience
  • Experience in handling USGOV shipments via DD250 or DD1149
  • Familiarity with Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)




Salary Range: 64400 - 96600
Salary Range 2: 79800 - 119800



Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
