Position Overview: This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the HIE program by participating in and monitoring the suite of Health IT (HIT)/Health Information Exchange (HIE) projects across PacificSource. A key focus of the position is to provide an interface between the various internal and external HIT/HIE stakeholders and vendors, documenting and tracking agreements and preparing materials in support of the program team and other stakeholders
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of the HIE program and ensure stakeholders receive status and information needed for the completion of actions and tasks.
  • Manage communications, schedule and organize meetings related to the program.
  • Attend and participate in vendor, community and agency meetings, documenting agreements and triggering follow up reminders.
  • Track and update internal and external ticketing with information sourced across various users and teams.
  • Support documentation requests such as program presentations and proposals, training materials, policies and procedures and other needed information.
  • Document requirements, compare and analyze data in support of program needs.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of HIE concepts and use cases, effectively communicate and train teams around HIE and health information tools.
  • Coordinate projects and tasks across functional teams using project management tools to provide updates and results with clear visibility to stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain program goals tracking against actual work completed.

Supporting Responsibilities:
  • Represent HIE initiatives on internal committees and work groups.
  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
  • Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Experience: At least three years of experience as project or program coordinator with a strong administrative focus. Experience in healthcare and HIE/HIT related functions preferred
Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge: Organizational skills with solid experience in using computers and various software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and audio-visual equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time. Some overnight travel required

Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing.
