Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we need you to join our Team as a JSTARS Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician 3. This position is located in Lake Charles, LA.**In this position you could work 1st or 2nd shift.In this position you will support the repair and modifications of our JSTARS Aircraft in support of our Aircraft Maintenance and Fabrication Center.Your duties may include:1. Perform removal, installation, and inspection functions of fuel cells and assembly, and installation of components such as fuel lines, hardware, and fittings on various aircraft. 2. Analyze various aircraft sealing, structural, and assembly drawings, to detect seal level deficiencies. 3. Diagnose results of leak test to detect drawing, specification, structural and assembly sealing errors. 4. Recommend corrective action necessary to correct deficiencies. 5. Perform disassembly and teardown operations of aircraft fuel systems and related components. 6. Remove fuel cells and components from aircraft, following specific procedures and techniques. 7. Prepare cavity for installation of fuel cells and components. 8. Install fuel cells and components, following specific procedures and techniques. You will also use appropriate pressure test equipment, and make repairs as required. Check condition of fuel cells for any type of damage; and cavity, for condition of internal fittings. Work from operation sheets, diagrams, blueprints, engineering orders, mil-specs and verbal instructions. Work with jigs, fixtures, and various tooling, as operations require. Assist other aircraft mechanics as required. Maintain schedules and quality standards. Check work for completeness and accuracy. Notify supervision of any / all malfunctions, defects, and damages of equipment, material and product. Perform Production Accountability duties associated with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts, and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability. Keep work area clean and orderly. May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment. May be required to perform other related duties, as assigned.LCPDMBasic Qualifications:1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 4 years additional education and/or related experience.2. Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions3. Able to wear respirator or other safety gear4. Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces5. Ability to communicate over ambient noise level and subjected to a variety of physical conditions6. Able to understand sequence of operations or action to be taken and to understand and apply basic math skills7. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines and to determine time, place, and sequence of operations or action to be takenPreferred Qualifications:1. 6 years or more yrs of experience with integral tank work.2. Airframe and Power Plant license



Salary Range: 46200 - 77000



Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
