Job Description

Summary



Sets up and operates a Rewind/Slitter to produce customer orders in a timely manner by performing the following duties



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned



Set up and operate an assigned rewind/slitter machine at required specifications

Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine

Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor

Assure all jobs are run in accordance with all written manufacturing specifications including manufacturing specs, customer specs, and standard operating procedures

Inspects film for defects to ensure that product is according to specifications

Accurately reporting production and labeling rolls

Perform quality testing and ensure product is within customer specifications

Use assisted lifting device when necessary to load rolls onto a skid



Education and/or Experience



High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience



Other Skills and Abilities



Ability to read a ruler/tape measure

The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly tilt or flip rolls repeatedly of 50 pounds throughout the day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
