Internship Summary:

The successful candidate will work with clinical research associates, clinical managers and other researchers to contribute to the discovery and development of Zoetis Animal Health products at the Downtown Kalamazoo and Richland sites. The student will participate in research projects mostly involving poultry but may have the opportunity to participate in other livestock species projects.

Internship Job Duties:

  • Preparation of study protocols, data capture forms, test article documentation and study reports
  • Data management processes including data capture, entry, review, tracking and verification for both paper and electronic data capture methods.
  • Participating in animal related study activities such as clinical sampling, test article and challenge administration, data collection – including paper and electronic
  • Support poultry partner groups if opportunity arises.

Internship Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students enrolled in an Animal Science, Biology, Veterinary Technician, or pre-veterinary medicine program with an interest in immunology, vaccine development or animal research.
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Enrolled in a degree program during the Spring term preceding internship
  • Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screen
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
