The Boeing Space & Launch Division's Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) team is looking for a Experienced WGS-11 GSCCE Software Developer in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Global Satellite Configuration and Control Element (GSCCE) team focuses on the development of new global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system upgrades that will support the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) F11 satellite. In addition, the Space and Launch team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements, design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
The successful candidate will drive the daily execution of product development in a fast-paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have skills in agile methodologies, software development, test automation, and system automation.
As a member of the WGS-11 team, you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. These positions will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our project. The WGS-11 team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from or lead others.
Utilize Java, Java Script, Python, and Angular SW languages to develop satellite ground control system.
Utilize Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher (containerized software architecture).
Agile Development within a cross-discipline team.
Continuous integration, testing, and delivery within a CI/CD pipeline.
Decompose complex requirements and capabilities into executable discrete user stories.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Investigation:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is require.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
2+ years of experience utilizing Java for software development.
3+ years of experience in software engineering.
1+ years of experience in developing software unit tests and automated functional testing.
Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working in an Agile software development environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools.
Experience utilizing microservices in Java Spring Framework.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: Min: $75,000 – Max: $133,000.
