Child & Family Program Manger


General Summary of Duties: The Child & Family Program Manager supports operations by managing complex projects and by managing complex services contracts as requested, ensuring responsibilities are clearly identified and assigned, and contract terms are met. Identify and coordinate process improvements across clinical programs. Provides clinical supervision to programs as assigned.


Major Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Project Management - Oversee the planning, execution and completion of identified projects to meet specified objectives. Specific duties include the following:
    • In collaboration with leadership, define the scope and objectives
    • Create a detailed project plan and schedule
    • In consultation with appropriate Managers and Supervisors, identify resources (staff, time, funding, equipment) required to complete the project.
    • Clarify objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at completion
    • Review the project plan and finalize task schedule with appropriate Executive Leadership and Managers; review and revise as necessary.
    • Oversee, and execute the project according to the project plan and timelines; provide management, coordination, direction, and support to project team and implement tasks as identified in the project plan.
    • Document and track project activities
    • Represent KMHS when working with external agencies as part of a project team, which may include members of the executive leadership team.
    • Monitor sub-contractors involved with the project to ensure quality and timeliness.
    • Manage the project budget and other allocated resources.
    • Review the quality of the work with the project team on a regular basis to ensure the project meets objectives and set standards.
    • Report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders
    • Prepare and provide financial reports as requested.
    • Evaluate project outcomes with project team upon project completion by conducting, recording and sharing observations regarding lessons learned
    • Monitor projects after completion to ensure continued success with follow-up e-mails, workgroup meetings, or Survey Monkey surveys to gather feedback from involved staff.
    • Initiate project celebrations in a timely manner with project team and/or with involved staff following project completion
  • Chart Review and Clinical Consultation
    • Ensure a high quality of treatment for clients. Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable RCWs, WACs and other regulatory and contractual requirements. Provide regular review of clinical charts of all clients assigned and ensure documentation and paperwork requirements are met.
  • Work with school district personnel to identify client and community needs within the school districts. Assist in enhancing and developing programs to address identified needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with KMHS programs, school district personnel and other public or private agencies.
  • Work with C&F Supervisors to ensure continuity of clinical care for the C&F clients of KMHS. Ensure the appropriate coordination of case flow from referral to discharge/outcomes.
  • Work with the C&F Director to ensure contract compliance, monitor program budgets, maximize fee collection, maintain meaningful IS data, and monitor facilities' needs.
  • Represent C&F Services in the community and serve as liaison to other social service and community agencies.
  • Participate in organizational short and long-term visioning, strategic planning, and goal development.
  • Participate in developing and implementing agency treatment philosophy.
  • Participate in the agency's community relations activities.
  • Support and comply with the KMHS affirmative action program.
  • Provide backup for all positions when necessary and direct client services when needed.
  • Provide Licensure Supervision as needed to staff within and outside of the department.
  • At the direction of the C&F Director, provide training and consultation to supervisors and staff on processes and protocols

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health.


EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)


Five years of supervision and administrative experience in social services arena

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report and reliable, insured transportation


LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 388-877-0500. Child Mental Health Specialist.




Preferred Qualifications:


EXPERIENCE: Expert (established subject matter expert, 7+ years of experience)


Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, or substance abuse treatment. Two years supervisory experience preferred

LICENSURE: Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC).
