Supervisor, Receiving & Material Handling



What you would do as our Supervisor, Receiving & Material Handling



The primary responsibility of the Receiving and Material Handling Supervisor is to ensure all inbound shipments are received using the SOP for receiving. Move all raw materials to coating operations as directed by open work orders. Additionally, the department is responsible for stocking finished goods in their proper location in the warehouse. This position is one of high visibility on the shop floor at all times.


You would also:



  • Represent our department in a positive manner to our customers both up and downstream
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assign staff to ensure all purchase orders are processed as they are received
  • Assign staff to ensure all finished goods are placed in their locations as completed by manufacturing
  • Assign staff to ensure all raw materials are moved to coating operations on-time with accuracy in quantities.



The skills and experience you need



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • LSS Green or Black Belt preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in receiving in an ERP environment equivalent to JD Edwards Enterprise 1
