Peoria County Clerk's Office is a seeking a full-time recording deputy to assist with processing recorded land documents. This includes reviewing documents that have been submitted online or in person for compliance with state and local requirements, cashiering payments and indexing key information. The position also includes assisting with other functions of the office, including: property tax redemption, vital records certification, issuing marriage licenses, and other filings.


Qualifications


The position requires either: 1. an Associate Degree/two years of college, or 2. high school diploma/equivalent with 2 or more years of property instrument experience gained in the title, banking, legal or other applicable fields. Must have proficient mathematical and cashiering skills. Basic bookkeeping skills needed. Two years of customer service experience required. Bilingual is a plus.
