Job Description


Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance has an opening for a full-time or Workers Compensation Specialist. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Requirements include:



  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional telephone manners
  • Ability to schedule patient appointments in an accurate and complete manner
  • Ability to process work comp paperwork and requests in an efficient manner
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all parties involved in ensuring a successful return-to-work (patient, nurse case manager, adjuster and employer)




Skills needed include:



  • Competency in MS Office applications
  • Ability to learn to use an electronic medical records system
  • Ability to work independently to complete work tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure workflow processes are executed
  • Ability to problem-solve to ensure the best outcome is achieved in each case




Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience working with patients and or workers’ compensation referral sources (insurers, adjusters, third party administrators, nurse case managers, employers) is preferred.
