Part time - Saturday & Sundays, 3 - 11 PM


POSITION SUMMARY:


In this role, you will work as a Concierge at the front desk and provide five-star quality concierge service, serving as an ongoing resource by proactively anticipating the needs of our residents and families so a solution can be offered before being requested. The Concierge responds to each of our residents and visitors, personalizing the delivery of the service to meet the specific needs of each resident. The successful candidate will also provide support to the administrative staff, nursing department, leasing department and life enrichment department. This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals who are team oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic about working with seniors.


What does a Concierge do at Balfour Senior Living?

  • Greet and direct all visitors in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Answer all incoming calls within three rings and transfer calls or take messages as necessary
  • Respond to residents’ and family members’ questions and concerns
  • Monitor the front lobby and entrance area for cleanliness and maintain and organize incoming mail
  • Ability to direct residents and their families to available services both in-house and in the general vicinity
  • Provide support to the life enrichment and administrative staff
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Ability to communicate openly, honestly and responsibly with others
  • Ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity
  • Ability to accept responsibility for agreements made and follow through as appropriate


You bring the following skills and experience to Balfour Senior Living

  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Typing and computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Basic ability to read, write, understand, speak and follow direction in the English language
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer focused role
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Ability to communicate openly, honestly and responsibly with others


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS:

  • Previous experience operating a switchboard with a multi-line system desired
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheet, Gmail, account reconciliation preferred


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standing for the majority of shift
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens
  • Balfour is a pet-friendly community; you may be exposed to animal hair and dander


Health & Wellness Protocols:
Until further notice, interviews will take place virtually. Newly-hired associates will complete Balfour Senior Living's New Hire Orientation virtually, then receive important training about how to keep our residents, and themselves, as healthy as possible. This includes things like hand washing and social distancing. You will also follow wellness protocols developed under guidance of health agencies before entering any of our buildings.
