Here is how the Waste Management Team Leader role will impact our business:
The Waste Management Team is responsible for every process associated with control of generation, storage, collection, transportation, processing and disposal of solid waste materials in a way that best addresses the range of health, conservation, economic, aesthetic, engineering, and other environmental considerations. The primary goal of the Waste Management Team is reducing and eliminating adverse impacts of waste materials on human health and the environment to support economic well development and superior quality of life at our locations. This is to be done in the most efficient manner possible, while keeping costs low and preventing excess waste on site. Our team is in constant pursuit of new or innovative technologies that can reduce the total waste footprint and increase our ability to beneficially reuse byproducts.
The Waste Management Team Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all areas of waste stream operations including vendor selection, logistics, scheduling, invoicing
  • Initiates proposals for procedural changes or process improvements to increase efficiencies in solutions provided
  • Visualize & manage multiple data streams into best fit technology
  • Comply and assist with corporate risk mitigation, record retention, annual compliance reporting
  • Explore new recycling & waste minimization technologies for implementation
  • Provide cost-benefit analyses to evaluate optimal resource allotment
  • Understand and interpret the rules and regulation set out by each state pertaining to waste
  • Comply with all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to the storage, handling, transport and use of radioactive materials

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 1+ years of industry related experience
  • College degree required, BS Degree in a related course of study
  • Computer skills including: Coding languages, Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Power Bi, Spotfire and WellView are preferred
  • Detail orientation with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, self-motivate, and multi-task across numerous projects
  • Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution, and follow-up
  • Ability to work independently, and within a team environment to achieve goals
  • Ability to give precise and detailed reports of problems, updates, failures, operational parameters and personnel status
  • Role can be remote or work out of the Pittsburgh, Southpointe, Waynesburg or Bridgeport WV Office
  • Must live close to one of these office spaces

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with radiation safety and regulations is preferred

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
