The position contributes to a collaborative department through professional and personal interactions with students and constituents and through positive and consistently accurate support of various departmental responsibilities.

Manage application and admission processes for all School of Nursing undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree programs. Processes include assuring application completion, preparing correspondence to applicants and admitted students, updating applicant tracking spreadsheets, processing incoming transcripts, and reviewing applications (when needed to support program consultants). The admission specialist also assists with event preparation, including student orientations and the annual recognition ceremony, and administratively supports Student Admission and Progression Committee meetings. A successful candidate should be a self - starter who takes initiative, prioritizes competing tasks, and works independently and professionally.
Required Qualifications :
Any Combination of four years higher education and administrative support experience
Experience with customer service, including telephone, online, and in-person interactions
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent typing, spelling, and grammar skills
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel to include:
Word mail-merge and advance layout functions (columns and tables)
Excel sort, filter, and basic formula functions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education
Experience working with the SLATE Application System or a similar educational CMS program
