The Manager, FP&A will be an integral member of the US Financial Planning & Analysis team and will provide business planning and analytics knowledge to the Salix business unit. This role will utilize tools to enable the teams to understand brand performance and business trends more clearly, anticipate future market trends, and assess new business opportunities. FP&A experience in the pharamceutical industry is mandatory .

This is a hybrid role with three days in office in Bridgewater, NJ HQ.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Coordinate month and quarter end closing activities, including accruals, review of commitments and invoice payments, accounting transaction research, and correcting entries as needed the with strict adherence to corporate reporting deadlines.

  • Maintain all budgets & forecasts in in Hyperion.

  • Work with Sales and Marketing Management providing monthly sales performance and expense management reporting.

  • Manages the month-end process to analyze actual results of sales and expense details versus the budget/forecast and provide explanations for variances for all stakeholders.

  • Support Sr. Manager and Director in driving on-going process improvements for financial planning & reporting tools and systems by meeting with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities and develop an implementation strategy

  • Focus on assisting individuals throughout the organization with various ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling requests to support management decision making.

  • This position will require the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and become a subject matter expert in the areas related to Financial Reporting and Systems


  • 4+ years of Accounting/Finance experience

  • FP&A experience in the pharmaceutical industry required

  • GTN and cost accounting experience required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required

  • Hyperion and Peoplesoft experience a plus

  • Must be comfortable operating independently in a fast paced environment and must have strong analytical and financial system competencies

  • Ability to use advanced Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas to build and maintain expense forecast models

  • High ethical standards, strong verbal and written communication skills, and team player

  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including senior management

  • Must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to implement process improvements, create efficiencies, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
