  • Plans and delivers aircraft maintenance training program for manufacturing concepts and structural machining and assembly of aircraft parts from composites and metal alloys for factory production employees and field support personnel.
  • Conducts training and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  • Executes and maintains company-wide training programs as well as the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system.
  • Responsible for instilling and maintaining process discipline through classroom instruction and lab sessions.
  • Prepares classrooms and sets-up training materials; conducts classroom, shop and simulator training (if required) with customers for the purpose of developing and maintaining a high degree of proficiency.
  • Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of applicable courseware.
  • Interfaces with supervisors to determine training and certification requirements for assigned personnel and make recommendations to supervision/management for de-certification due to substandard performance and/or the inability to complete assigned tasks within established time parameters.
  • May revise lesson plans to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements.
  • May perform data analysis and gather information for new training; prepare and maintain training materials; and coordinate the development of new training materials and training aids.
  • May coordinate training content with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs
  • May be required/willing to work First, Second and/or Third shift to accommodate the training needs of our employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in in fabrication of various composite materials, cures, bonds, thermosets, thermoplastics, bleeder applications, &/or vacuum bagging.
  • Experience in instructional delivery on maintenance and structural systems, to include classroom instruction and/or OJT training.

Desired Skills:

  • Candidate will also possess approximately two years instructional delivery on maintenance and structural systems, to include classroom instruction and/or OJT training.
  • The successful candidate will possess approximately four years of experience in in fabrication of various composite materials, cures, bonds, thermosets, thermoplastics, bleeder applications, &/or vacuum bagging.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus and will be taken into consideration when looking at experience.
  • Military aviation experience a plus

  • Comprehensive knowledge in aircraft systems, particularly related to graphite and carbon composites, and various aluminum and steel alloys in military fighter aircraft
  • Experience in aircraft manufacturing training including instructional system design (ISD) concepts: understanding of the concepts of operation of autoclaves, general shop equipment and support equipment, metal and composite tooling, vacuum bagging techniques and materials, drills, sanders, routers, wrenches, countersink/counter bore cutters, reamers, precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
  • Able to establish and deliver training systems and/or conduct classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge on fabrication of various composite materials, cures, bonds, thermosets, thermoplastics, bleeder applications and vacuum bagging, laminated build up assemblies, composite drawings, rubber cauls and various types of processing and curing equipment such as autoclave oven in order to obtain desired set and cures.
  • Able to demonstrate layup of pre-peg graphite and wet lay-up of fiberglass to process specifications
  • Instructor skills including classroom lecture and lab presentations.
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong Computer skills.
