JOB SUMMARY: This position assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning
Shift: 9:00am -5:30pm Mon- Fri, rotating weekend schedule
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
Employment is contingent on:
- Successfully completing a pre-employment Health Screening and a TB clearance
- Receipt of “clear” or approved Live Scan results and Criminal Background Clearance
Education
- Masters Degree in psychology, social work or other related mental health field
- License or Certification
- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
- Valid California Driver's License.
- First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
Other Qualifications Required:
- Ability to relate to youth and adults with emotional disturbances and their families.
- Ability to drive to and from client’s homes and elsewhere in personal vehicle.
- Ability to perform clear and concise documentation.
- Knowledge of Community Resources, especially related to the Mental Health field, is highly desirable to make appropriate linkages.
Specialized Skills
- Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, parents, foster parents, care takers, schools, other staff, physicians, county agencies, other health care providers and the public.
- Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.
- Demonstrated organization and management skills.
- Demonstrated CSI Skills
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of community services and county agencies preferred.
- Ability to develop ongoing relationships with referral sources and interface with County Mental Health Departments and Educational Districts.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to visually and audibly assess adolescent’s behavior and needs.
