Human Resources Assistant



REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATIONS



Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access.
  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
  • Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a chemical demilitarization facility.



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must be a US or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access
  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment
  • Good working knowledge of Human Resources terminology and practices.
  • Good communications (verbal and written), organizational and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources
  • Tact, above average communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task, prioritizing work to meet deadlines



Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience in Government contractor human resources environment


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS



  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
  • Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Provide clerical, administrative, and technical support to the Human Resources function. Works under general supervision.
  • Serve as a clerical expert in independently processing the most complicated types of personnel actions, e.g., temporary employment, rehires, and dismissals.
  • May perform tasks beyond routine clerical such as: pre-employment drug screening and new hire orientation, responding to routine questions on policy and procedures, and/or provide reports on employee turnover or time and attendance.
  • May be asked to evaluate and consolidate information from various sources under short deadlines, such as internal or external survey information, reporting on company employment statistics (retention, equal opportunity reporting, etc).
  • Compute statistical information.


  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of forms, reports, projects.

  • Surety CPRP Personnel Records Screener / Alternate


  • Surety Records Compliance / Alternate



GENERAL


  • File Archiving


  • Generation of HR Forms / Packets
