We are looking for a Controller for our Seward, Nebraska plant to contribute to our Clean Air business group. The Plant Controller will be responsible for the plant's financial plans and controls to manage the business. You will support plant management with financial data and analysis in the attainment of plant and corporate goals. In addition, you will provide supervision of timely and accurate financial reporting of payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, fixed assets, financial transactions, audits and analysis, costing, and controls.





RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to monitor operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters dealing with the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Manages the preparation of weekly flash, annual profit plans, and maintains surveillance on inventories and plant performance in relation to established objectives.
  • Manages all accounting activities involved in accounts payable, capital assets, general ledger and standard costing systems and ensures that all activities are in compliance with established plant, group, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manages the department by developing and maintaining budgets, setting goals and objectives, determining action within policies required to meet goals.
  • Determines staffing needs and takes action to meet those needs, conducting training, development, counseling, and performance evaluation of department employees.
  • Initiates and maintains procedures, records, and reports relating to the financial management and methods of the plant and assist in the interpretations and analysis of reports to Plant Manager, Product Line Manager, and Support Staff.
  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains planning and control procedures and analyzes and reports variances.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.



Skills & Experience:



  • At least 8 years of business experience including financial analysis in a manufacturing-related environment. Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of company Accounting and Control Policies and Procedures (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • SAP and OneStream experience is helpful for success in this position.
