Job Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the execution of the accounting functions to include accounts payable and billing/accounts receivable business processes. Staff Accountants will interface with Project Managers, project staff and CRB Management to ensure that all key controls around invoice processing, expense reporting, client invoicing, and collections comply with company standards and requirements. Staff Accountants should conduct their work with an outstanding attention to detail and high level of accuracy and be comfortable working to established deadlines during the financial period. This individual should work well within a team-like atmosphere and be able to interact daily with company personnel, managers, clients, and vendors. 


  • Review invoices and approvals for completeness and process vendor invoices for payment, experience with subcontractor AIA is a plus
  • Prepare, assemble, and submit client invoices or pay applications with required back-up
  • Responsible for the review of the weekly project payables check run
  • Follow-up on accounts receivable and prepare additional billing support as requested by project managers or clients
  • Interface with project teams, clients, and vendors when necessary, in various aspects of project accounting and invoicing
  • Review expense reports for compliance with company policies and process for reimbursement
  • Assist in reconciling accounts and completion of month-end financials
  • Assist teams with the financial closeout of projects and discrepancy reconciliation
  • Other ad-hoc duties, as required


  • 1-3 years of accounting or business experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite, required
  •  Experience with Deltek Vision accounting software, preferred
  • Experience preparing and reviewing client AIA pay applications (various levels of difficulty), preferred
  • Possess a solid understanding of general accounting standards and principles
