POSITION SUMMARY



Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel.
  • Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
  • Make and confirm reservations.
  • Issue room keys and provide directions to the room.
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Verify customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.
  • Keep records of room availability, guests' room folios and room cancellations.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment.
  • Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning.
  • Transmit and receive messages, using telephones or telephone switchboards.
  • Follow Casino and department policies and procedures, including all safety and service procedures; adhere to the Prairie's Edge Chain of Command.
  • Support the Vision and Mission Statement's of Prairie's Edge Casino Resort.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES



Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required



Experience
: None



Computer Skills
: Extensive computer skills are necessary for this position. Must be able to learn all programs that are used by the Hotel and RV Park.



Work Schedule:
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events; varying shifts depending on customer need.
